Feverfew Rag Rug by Debbie Siniska

Beadwork

'Figure of Eight' bracelet in rocaille beads

Beads and beaded items have been used for centuries as talismans, currency and adornment.  Beads of all shapes and sizes can be strung, threaded or woven to create jewellelry and decorative items.

My work is mainly made using tiny glass seed beads strung on bonded nylon thread, monofilament or beading wire.  The jewellery in my range consists of fairly simple easy-to-wear necklaces and bracelets and I weave beads with wire to make tiaras.

I will teach group workshops for beadweaving on a bead loom by arrangement.  My book Decorative Beadwork was published by Letts in their Contemporary Crafts Series.
